Many thanks to everyone that made the evening possible!

Webelos Good Turn for Citizenship BL

The Webelos Den Collected about 10 boxes of books to donate to The Guidance Center of Long Beach. We delivered them on November 5 and met with some of the Counsellors and administrators. They had cookies and juice and candy for the boys and told them about their work and gave a tour of the library and some of the play rooms. We had a great time together and enjoyed doing something for other kids who will benefit from reading. Thanks to Alex's Mother, Valori Stedman, for arranging this opportunity for us and working so hard to get donations!

Raingutter Regatta

Wow! We had a great Rainguttter Regatta last month, and many thanks to the Jimenez family for sharing their excellent rain gutters with us and setting the whole thing up and then running the scoring. We also owe thanks to the families that donated the delicious cookies, cupcakes and milk for dessert! We also couldn't have done it without our wonderful judges - Thank you!

I was very impressed with the great sportsmanship that our Cubs showed, many times shaking hands after a match. They did a great job! Here are a few pictures so you can see the Cubs in action. If you have any photos you took that you would like to see shared, please let me know!
Thanks,
Barbara B

Summertime Activities Flyer:

There are several activities this summer that you can use towards earning the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.

To learn mor
e about requirements for this award, visit: http://www.usscouts.org/usscouts/advance/cubscout/Outdoor-Activity.asp one requirement for it is Cub Day Camp. Once you have participated in an activity, you must report it to your den leader to receive credit for it. It will be up to the individual den leaders to keep track of who has participated in summertime activities and at the end of summer turn this list in to Sister Burns so that she can order the award. If you do not report back to your den leader and tell him/her of your participation, you will NOT receive credit for it.
